Renewed Path
Coaching Program

YOU ARE IN THE “RING” OF LIFE!

I help individuals who feel stuck to set and accomplish goals in health and fitness, organization and life skills. Sometimes in life we “feel stuck” and unmotivated. Factors at play could include burn out, anxiety or plateau. I focus on building mental strength by overcoming challenges, building confidence and changing negative self talk.

Over the course of 5- 8 weeks clients will make mental and physical changes that align with their “ideal self.” Clients will become better equipped to embrace difficult challenges at work, school, the gym or home that once held them back from their potential.

Identity formation during adolescence and young adulthood is a crucial time for change and consideration of goals. Although open to all demographics, I am particularly skilled in working with populations in the identity formation and transition to adulthood phases of life (between 15 and 25 years old). I use a hands-on confidence building approach by spending time with clients on a customized and collaborative schedule. Together we will identify goals, plan out steps and identify markers for success. I will support clients by accompanying them as they take on new challenges. My approach centers around the idea that confidence is necessary for long term success in any realm of life. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques and evidence based practices.

Do you relate to any of these?

I am not happy with my lifestyle and would like to incorporate more mental and physical wellness

I suffer from imposter syndrome and believe others are inherently more capable than me

I have goals I would like to accomplish but low self-esteem negatively impacts the way I view myself and my abilities

I am tired of feeling criticized by others or myself for not meeting expectations

I beat myself up after social interactions for being too awkward or shy

I have trouble following through on responsibilities, staying organized or maintaining motivation in school, work or my personal life

I haven’t been able to implement the changes I want from therapy alone

I would benefit from a coach that is warm and supportive while also challenging my self defeating beliefs or behaviors

I have been working in the mental health field for over four years. My passion for helping others succeed is driven by my personal history of finding strength through experiences outside my comfort zone. I found that growing up with adverse childhood experiences had my body on high alert, a feeling that lingered long after I left the environment. I became a young adult trying to navigate life with anxiety and low self confidence. My life changed when I started training mixed martial arts in 2018. Just walking through the door of the gym felt incredibly intimidating and stressful. As I continued to show up day after day, a chain reaction occurred. I embraced my novice skill level and looked at failures as opportunities to learn. I became a regular at the gym and gained a community of people who were kind and encouraging of me regardless of my abilities. I stopped berating myself for my weaknesses and

began changing my inner critic to sound more similar to the encouragement of my peers. By implementing kindness, compassion and respect toward myself, my skills grew and confidence bled into other realms of my life leading to the pursuit of a graduate degree, starting a new career, moving to a new city and eventually competing in my debut amateur fight. I started to find power in working through difficult situations, I embraced my inner fighter.

Over the years I continued to train martial arts and found that I became a person who newcomers looked to for help. I noticed qualities from my work as an outpatient therapist bleeding into the way I helped people in the gym. By implementing empathy, support and structured goal setting while teaching a skill, I found that they improved quicker, and built confidence in their abilities to try new things on their own. Although most clients who seek motivational coaching won’t have any goals relating to martial arts, the significance it conveys in my story is sometimes it only takes a little support and encouragement to foster positive change. I believe that everyone has an inner fighter in them, I would like to help my clients find theirs.

Commonly Asked Questions

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Motivational coaching specializes in helping you identify specific actions you need to take to make improvements in your personal or professional life and then help you mobilize to achieve goals. Coaches hold you accountable and keep you motivated as you strive to change for the better.

Therapy serves those with mental health care needs, such as healing from emotional pain, feelings of being overwhelmed in life, seeking peace and clarity, and creating a safe space to figure things out.

* Individuals who participate in motivational are prohibited from receiving counseling services from the assigned coach. Counseling and coaching must remain separate services from separate providers.

Who might be a good candidate for motivational coaching?

Individuals who are having troubling “self-starting.” This could include individuals who experience ambivalence or lack of confidence in their abilities. This could also include individuals experiencing a plateau in their progress or trouble overcoming negative feelings that serve as barriers to goals. Motivational coaching can be used in addition to therapy for individuals who may feel better served through hands-on experiences and collaborative confidence building.

What is the difference between the 5 and 8 week packages?

The 5-week package may be better suited for individuals who are further along in their milestone journey (ie. I feel successful in multiple areas but need help incorporating wellness goals into my life). The 8-week program is more comprehensive and may better suit individuals who are in the beginner stages of change or are having trouble “self-starting” (ie. I am having trouble upholding my responsibilities which has led me to take time off from school or work). Individuals can always utilize individual sessions after purchasing an initial package if they would like ongoing support.

Individual and group Renewed Path Packages are available.
